FA Guidance on becoming a Referee 

Remember Refereeing Is A Great Way To:

• Be involved in football
• Offer opportunities for everyone
• Remain active in the game following injury or retirement
• Make new and lasting friends within the game
• Play a huge role in ensuring the players, and supporters, enjoy their match day experience 

Course times:

Friday 6.30pm - 9.30pm Saturday or Sunday 9.00am - 4pm (parent / carers are invited to attend the last hour of the last day to understand the process after finishing the course). The minimum age to attend a referee course is 14 years.

Course cost is £130 

This includes Laws of the Game and Safeguarding For All (both on line learning)

If you are over 16 years of age you need to complete Safeguarding for Children (£30 charge) and are required to complete a FA DBS (additional £10 charge).
