Ian is Shropshire FA’s newest recruit to the Football Development team, joining in July of this year as a Disability Football Development Officer and more recently a Referee Development Officer. Ian brings a wealth of experience to the CFA , particularly In the Disability field having been involved in Coaching within a club on a voluntary basis for 25 years. Ian has set up a number of projects offering free football Coaching and fitness sessions across Shropshire. Ian also played football himself for 25 years and continues to play for his local team, Telford Juniors. 

He is dedicated and passionate in helping everyone in the community to have equal opportunities regardless of ability or background. Ian is a qualified lecturer and was based at Telford College for a period of 10 years. He also has worked for his local town council as a Project and Events Manager for a period of 2 years again playing a big role into the development of the community and the offering of equal opportunities and making the town a better place. Ian joins us to pursue his passion of developing football in Shropshire.
