Shropshire Clubs Awarded Howdens Game Changer Programme
Howdens Game Changer Programme – England Football Accreditation
Congratulations to Shropshire clubs Whitchurch Alport Football Club and Allscott Heath FC!
Congratulations to Shropshire clubs Whitchurch Alport Football Club and Allscott Heath FC as they have received confirmation of being awarded a brand-new kitchen in its clubhouse from kitchen supplier Howdens as part of a partnership with England Football.
The Howdens’ Game Changer programme was launched in April to improve clubhouse facilities at grassroots football clubs across the UK and is set to deliver more than 450 kitchens to clubs over a three-year period. The initiative was founded by football legends Jill Scott, MBE and Chris Kamara, MBE who lent their support by driving home the importance of grassroots football and clubhouse facilities on their own careers.
Current 2 and 3 star England Football Accredited clubs were eligible to apply for the programme which clubs had to provide support evidence as part of the criteria. Once submitted, all applications went through a thorough panel review process.
160+ applications across the counties were received, 117 awards were issued to accredited clubs, 45 acceptances received, 14 clubs ready to progress with local Howdens depots.
